SCHENECTADY -- Patricia Rodgers Collins, 73, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 6, 2016.
Pat was born in Patterson, NJ, a daughter of the late Truman Rodgers and Vivian (Walder) Rodgers Younger. She graduated from Lakewood High School in NJ, class of 1961 and Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT with an associate's degree in bookkeeping. Pat worked for Albany Savings Bank, as a student loan clerk, retiring in 1998 due to illness. She relocated to Arizona and resided in the state for 6 years before returning to New York. She was a member of the American Council of the Blind; Arizona Chapter. Pat was a kind and loving woman, devoted to her family and friends.
Pat was predeceased by her life companion and guide dog; Buscemi.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Crystal Davis; brothers Clifford (Barbara) Younger and Paul (Ellen) Younger; nieces and nephew, Katherine, Laura, Rebecca, and Nicholas; former husband, Barry Collins; former son-in-law, Timothy N. Davis, II; and her faithful companion, 'Snoopy.'
The family would also like to gratefully thank her physicians, Dr. Joseph Roglieri, Nephrologist, Dr. Peter Cospito, Cardiologist, and Dr. Farah Salehi, Primary Care Physician; and their staffs, for their compassionate, professional, and attentive care.
Services will be held at Rossi and Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, Schenectady, on Monday, June 13 from 3 to 6 pm with a service to follow.
