Heart Emblem

TOWN OF BROADALBIN – Pattie Mattie, 63, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by her adoring family.
Pattie was born on August 8, 1951 in Amsterdam, a daughter of the late Phillip and Philomena (Marrone) DiCaprio. She was a 1969 graduate of Amsterdam High School and began her career with the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, retiring in 2006, after 38 years of service. For the past five years, she worked at Fulton Montgomery Community College. Pattie embraced life with love, kindness and devotion, caring for all she loved; family, friends, animals, and gardening.
She is survived by her beloved husband, David J. Mattie; loving daughter, Kristie Van Hoesen and her husband Kevin, of Amsterdam; adoring grandchildren, Michael, Kristofer and Matthew; siblings, Linda and Steve Lisicki, of Williamsville, NY, Richard and Anne Marie DiCaprio, of Kansas and Gary and Wendy DiCaprio, of Anchorage, AK; her former husband and dear friend, Thom Rich, of Amsterdam. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
At Pattie's request, no services will be held.
