Soynette Sharlese Somerville (Utley) of Schenectady, New York entered into eternal rest on Monday February 12, 2018 at the age of 49.

Soynette was born in Schenectady, New York on June 19, 1968. She was the first born to Charles and Cassandra Utley (Griffin). She graduated from Linton High School in 1986. Soynette was blessed to have met the love of her life in 1985 whom she married following the birth of their only child in 1988.

Soynette was a hard worker who went back to school in 2002 to pursue a career in nursing. After graduating, she worked as an Licensed Practical Nurse within the community.

Some of her favorite pastimes included shopping at thrift stores, going to garage sales, making "cocktails", cracking jokes, playing bingo, hosting family and friends, and binge watching tv.

Soynette was predeceased by her paternal grandmother Nora Little and maternal grandfather Nelson Griffin Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband Dionisio "Honey" Somerville, daughter Tai "Mama/Mookit" Somerville, father and mother Charles and Cassandra Utley (Griffin), mother-in-law Evelyn (Angel) Carrasquillo, maternal grandmother Jean Griffin (Scott), brother Charles Fraizer, sisters Sharlene (Kendall) Barnes, Stacey Parker, Shabresha Utley, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home 501 Union Street in Schenectady, New York 12305 Monday February 19, 2018. Family will receive relatives and friends for viewing hours from 12pm – 2pm. Services will commence at 2pm.

Repass will follow at the Friendship House 955 State Street Schenectady, New York 12307.
